Sunflowers, Peconic, NY
For
a short time each summer, the sunflower field at Pindar Vineyards in Peconic
is the most magical place on the North Fork. I had just received this
transparency back from the lab when the terrorist attacks hit. As I tried
to comprehend the magnitude of this tragedy, I realized that we may have
lost as many people as there were sunflowers in this field.
To me, this image will always represent both the enormity of this tragedy
and the beauty of each individual that was lost. Proceeds from the purchase
of this 12.5" x 16" limited-edition print will go to the relief
efforts.
